Productive Friday, go figure
So, it's been a productive Friday...even though it's 1 am on Saturday.I finished up the scarf for a friend of mine. Only a week later than I wanted to. Work has been a little overly crazy the past few weeks, keeping me up until 6 am some nights.
I improvised with the fringe at the end, but overall, it's really quite nice. Very soft and the colors are really nice together.
Another bit off my needles, it's only one, but it still looks good! One of the lace washcloths for my friend. I think that I want to pick up *gasp* a set of wooden straights to work on the others while I use my circulars for the other projects.
And! Success! I finished...A sock! Yes, it's just one. But dang it, it's my first sock! And while it looks quite...well, there's no better word than Ugly...it actually fits and feels kind of nice. I think that I'll be changing how I do socks in the future. A size larger for the ribbing cuff, then the normal needle size for the rest of the body should make it fit a bit better. But success! It wasn't thrown across the room or anything! Now to cast on the other one, once I get some other things finished...
Like this one. The April Mitten of the Month project. I'm actually to the thumb gusset, so I'll start that tomorrow. I'm actually pretty sure I can get it done or close to done before the vintage knit a long tomorrow afternoon.
So all in all, pretty darn productive day! Go me!
