Playing Catch up, and stuck at 2nd Base

Happy New Year to you all! Technically, I think the New Year started for me a couple of weeks ago, but for Calendar purposes...*tosses confetti*

I feel this blog is woefully neglected. Not on purpose mind you. There's just been an awful lot going on.

There was this job promotion on Christmas Eve...

Followed by my boss leaving town for Cancun on the 27th leaving me in charge. (Don't look so shocked, he's thought I've been capable of filling in for him since we worked at a classic rock station 5 years ago...)

Also, my wonderful Pirate-like other half leaving for work in California for the next 10 months also on the 27th. Ugh...hasn't even been a week yet and I'm slightly loosing it.

Plus a few large projects to work on and finish by New Years...

To say the least, things have been busy.

I'm working to catch up on a few things. I feel drastically behind on my KnitAMittAMo Mittens, even though I'm only behind a month. I realize that sounds pretty bad, but there's people in the Sock a Month club behind by 4 or 5 months, so I guess one month isn't too horrible.

I have however kept up on getting the yarn for each month, so that's something right? I've told myself I will not start January's until I finish December's, even though I really like the pattern and the yarn. Ooo la la. So, I'm working on on of the Mitt's for December right now...

Ofcourse, this is right before I run out and get more fiber. :D Hey! There's a sale. I can't pass that up.

Plus I need to pick up a scrapbook. Among the many other things I have going on, there's a project I want to do and hopefully have done by February. I probably can let it go until April or May since that's when I can hand it over...but I want the bulk of it done by February.

*puts that on the list*

I should be finishing up the bag I'm working on in the next week. I'll either work on it more tomorrow or maybe even tonight.

There's also a lace project that I should work more on...but then I'm looking at a pattern for yoga socks, and I'm really curious about casting that on.

You know...wanting to knit is kind of curse. Because you want to do EVERYTHING...even when something's not finished.

I have a problem. I should find Jennie and start a support group for Knitters that won't quit. :D
