It was a giving of knitted items this year.

I finished the Bird in Hand mittens which found their way to my mother this year. Knitted up on size ones in a beautiful heather gray alpaca mix and cascade 220 wool in a dusty pink. Those'll keep your fingers warm and toasty all year!








And the mystery gift for my mother? None other than a hand knit felted Carpet Bag. The handles were not what i wanted, but the person who was supposed to make them has been busy putting together cages for fencing blades and the like. So, no fine chain link cords, but a nice pair of wooden handles to complete the bag that I finished stitching the rose onto on Christmas eve.
