Well, just blocked my Harry Potter Bag. And now, I'm faced with a dilemma. Okay. Two Dilemma's.

1. I want to make a shoulder strap for it. Pattern calls for a crocheted strap, and since I don't Crochet, that's out, plus I'm not a fan of the look. So, I started to do a seed stitch strap. (For those non knitters, it's bumpy. Like a basket weave bumpy and from a distance looks like a canvas strap would.)

Now I've ripped that out twice because it was too wide than too short. I'm trying to decide if I should stick it out, when I've decided I'm not digging the ridges on the side...or to make an i-cord strap. Since the bag is a big rectangle, I'm thinking making the rounded look of a strap might finish it better with it's contrast...

2. Closure. On ways to close the bag, would it be better to have a zipper for the top or one button with a flap coming over to close it?
