It's Magic...

Guess who figured out Magic Loop? Okay, so it's on a shorter cable, but darn it, I've figure it out and I'm actually doing a scarf with it right now. Yeah, odd. Usually magic loop would be socks or something small, but I'm making it work. I think I've successfully cut down the amount of needles I intend to purchase.

It's been an up and down week with Knitting. There was some major disappointment with people's attitudes. I guess it goes to show that no matter how old you get or the people around you get, you're never too old to display the wonderful clique and alienation business we were all used to in High School.

It's given me a bit more incentive to try and rise above that petty stuff though, so thank you to the folks who have displayed this to myself and others this week. I think that was the push I needed to get things together and head the right direction.

I was honored to make a new knitting acquaintance this week. It's shocking and sad that we've missed each other the past few months...but we certainly got to geek out about spinning and knitting. I'm ever so glad and grateful to meet another fellow fiber geek. Hopefully she'll get to come around to KIP and perhaps Stitch and Bitch, so keep your fingers crossed.

Was also a bit touched that after tonight's festivities, movies and pizza with the guys, from one of their comments.

Realize, we debated long and hard about dinner. (The Dinner topic seems to be an hour or longer debate, and not just with Bob and I. Between friends as well.) We had initially settled on me cooking pasta for us all. The plan swiftly changed about 5 blocks from my apartment to Pizza you order and cook at home.

Oh, and some Vault for me...because I've been needing a bit of a caffeine fix.

Long story shorter, one of the guys commented that the pizza was good, but was convinced that I was going to fix a wonderful home cooked meal. Possibly grilled chicken.

Then told the guys about the fish and rice I had cooked the night before. Talk about a good feeling...I had a great one there!

Anyways, great group of guys.

I should have a project or two finished by the end of the week. If not, I'll take pictures of the successful cooking and make everyone hungry. :D

I hope I can make it to snb this week. I'm afraid that work is going to keep me from it though. :( Wouldn't be so bad if I had my own car. I could go right from work to Twist, but alas... Hopefully we'll get that thing figured out soon too.

Well, I could always come grab ya and drive you home if you want. It's really not that much trouble and hell, I'd be happy to do it because I miss ya!
