Very exciting...and some terrifying!...things happening lately. I'll be mum on some of it, but one of the things I'm very excited about happens this weekend!

Saturday, I'll be taking a Drop Spindle spinning class! I've been reading up and researching this method for a few weeks now and think I could probably attempt this on my own right now, but I am excited about learning from one of my fellow SnB'ers who spins, dyes, and sells/distributes her yarn. I feel that I'll learn more in this class than just winging it on my own, research and all.

Hopefully, I'll enjoy it like I think I will. If so, my roommate intends to build me a Spinning Wheel for Yule. I'm hoping he'll start work on it before then and I can try my hand on a wheel. I'd love to make lace yarn, which I think can be done easier on a spinning wheel than on a spindle. I'm not quite sure it can be done on a drop spindle. I'll most likely find out this weekend.

*bounces* So many things! I should be able to finish the blanket this week...and my cable blanket, which still needs pictures should be done blocking. Currently, I'm not where the blanket is, so it could have been done days ago...and I wasn't around to see the results.

And, I am looking forward to making a wonderful spaghetti dinner tomorrow evening, with homemade bread! If I wasn't planning on attending practice and sparring, I'd even break out the Merlot!
